Negotiations Ordered For Smith-Munguia

While Liam Smith didn’t get his chance to with back the WBO super welterweight title from Sadam Ali, the British boxer has been ordered to fight the new champion Jaime Munguia.

Smith, who was pulled from his fight with Ali, due to a skin reaction, would place Munguia in the role of not only last minute challenger, but new champion.

Following the Mexican knockout artist living up to his reputation, the WBO ordered negotiations between the two sides earlier this week. There is only a 30 day window for this round of negotiations, but it seems that Munguia and Smith will be set to fight later in the Summer.
