Neiman Gracie Vs. Mark Lemminger Added For Bellator 266 Co-Main Event
It’s official. Neiman Gracie will face Mark Lemminger as Gracie looks get to back on the path to title contention.
Gracie (10-2 MMA, 8-2 BMMA) will meet Lemminger (12-3 MMA, 2-2 BMMA) in the octagon on September 18 for the co-main event of Bellator 266 in San Jose, California.
Gracie, 32, is a true expert of Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Nine out of his ten victories are via submissions.
The last time he fought was at Bellator 255 in this past April. He shared the cage with Jason Jackson and suffered his second loss in his professional MMA career. It was by unanimous decision.
Unlike his rival, the last time Lemminger graced the octagon, he left it as a winner. At Bellator 260, he defeated Demarques Jackson in the second round via TKO.
Lemminger has six TKO/KO victories and three via submissions while Gracie earned 90% of his wins with concessions. Gracie has never lost via TKO or KO, and Mark has never lost via submission.
The odds are unknown yet, but many MMA fans and experts consider No. 4 ranked welterweight Gracie as a favorite.
Former UFC fighter Yoel Romero and Phil Davis are headlining the event. The last time Romero shared the octagon was with current middleweight champion Israel Adesanya. After losing four battles out of the previous five contests, the UFC cut Romero from the promotion. It is going to be his debut against Davis, an experienced fighter.
