Ngannou Calls Out Overeem
Francis Ngannou is currently without an opponent for the UFC 215 pay-per-view in October. He was originally scheduled to face Junior dos Santos in a big heavyweight showdown, but dos Santos was recently pulled from the bout due to a potential anti-doping violation.
It seems, however, that Ngannou already has a replacement opponent in mind. Ngannou posted a tweet where he called out former UFC heavyweight title challenger Alistair Overeem.

After going 1-1 in his first two pro bouts, Ngannou has gone on a nine-fight win streak, winning all five fights he has had in the UFC thus far.
Meanwhile, since Overeem’s title shot loss to Stipe Miocic at UFC 203 in September 2016, Overeem has won two bouts in a row. He knocked out Mark Hunt at UFC 209 back in March, and he defeated Fabricio Werdum via majority decision at UFC 213 last month.
With UFC 215 three weeks away, it is not known if Overeem will take the bout on short notice.
UFC 215 will be headlined by a UFC Flyweight Championship bout between Demetrious Johnson and Ray Borg, with a Women’s Bantamweight Championship co-main event featuring Amanda Nunes and Valentina Shevchenko.
