Francis Ngannou is ready to cause a shock when he faces Tyson Fury on October 28th, 2023.
The former UFC heavyweight champion will make his boxing debut in a fight where he is the massive underdog. Fury arrives as the current WBC heavyweight champion, who is unbeaten and is expected to put on a clinical display. Although that may be the case, Ngannou has enlisted the services of Mike Tyson as a trainer and cornerman. That may give the MMA star an advantage in terms of confidence, which appears to have been shown in his approach leading into the fight.

“He’s good at coming back up. We gonna find out how good he is, but he’s gonna hit that canvas,” Ngannou
Ngannou does have a history of knockouts in MMA, as the stats do back that up. In his 20 MMA fights, Ngannou has 12 stoppages. And the training footage goes on to show Ngannou’s attacking intent leading into the fight. In the video below, Tyson can be seen guiding Ngannou as he puts in the hard yards in the gym.
Although he is the underdog, if there is going to be a chance of an upset, then having Tyson by his side will only help.
