Nick Diaz Released from Jail

As reported by MMA Junkie, Nick Diaz is no longer in custody at the Clark County (Nevada) Detention Center, as he was released after being held on $18,000 bond.

Diaz posted an Instagram story on the morning of May 26 where he silently showed off an elbow injury while rock music played in the background.

On the night of May 24, at 7:20 p.m. PT, Las Vegas Metro Police was dispatched to Diaz’s residence, with 12 units arriving at the scene. Diaz is charged with charged with felony domestic battery by strangulation, as well as misdemeanor domestic battery for the alleged incident involving a female victim.

The UFC released the following statement on Diaz’s arrest:

The organization does not tolerate domestic violence and requires all athletes to adhere to the UFC Fighter Conduct Policy. Every athlete is deserving of due process, and this situation, as with any official allegations, will be duly reviewed and thoroughly investigated by an independent party.
