Nico Ali Walsh Scheduled For Hometown Debut On April 30
Nico Ali Walsh (4-0. 3 KOs) is expected to make a statement to his hometown fans.
The grandson of Muhammad Ali will take on Denver’s Alejandro Ibarra (5-4-0) in his Las Vegas debut on April 30. This match will be a four-round middleweight fight.
This fight will open the televised broadcast involving the world junior lightweight title unification battle between Oscar Valdez, WBC belt holder, and Shakur Stevenson, WBO titlist.
The fight between Valdez and Stevenson will be followed up with an eight-round lightweight battle between U.S. Olympic silver medalist Keyshawn Davis and Esteban Sanchez.
After this fight, we will be watching the Ali Walsh-Ibarra fight being broadcasted exclusively on ESPN, ESPN Deportes, and ESPN+.
“Las Vegas is my home, and the MGM Grand Garden Arena has been the host of some of the most unbelievable fights. I spent some time with Shakur and Oscar and it is a privilege to be fighting on their card,” Ali Walsh stated.
“However, I am focused on my fight and Ibarra. He wants to take out the grandson of Muhammad Ali, and I will try everything in my power to stop that from happening. This will just not happen, especially in front of my home crowd.”
