Nico Ali Walsh vs. Danny Rosenberger Bout Declared a No-Contest; Rosenberger Faces Nine-Month Suspension Due to Failed Drug Test
Nico Ali Walsh’s split-decision draw against Danny Rosenberger on May 20th, 2023, was overturned to a no-contest following the latter’s failed test.
According to reports, Rosenberger’s test showed increased levels of testosterone. As a result, the Nevada State Athletic Commission overturned the result unanimously.
As a consequence, Rosenberger was given a nine-month ban until February 20th, 2023, and a $1,500 fine as well as having to pay the cost of the legal fees.

In addition, Rosenberger will have to undergo random drug testing before he is allowed to return to boxing.
This is another dark cloud over the sport of boxing following Conor Benn, Dillian Whyte and Alycia Baumgardner’s positive tests.
As such, boxing fans demanded tougher measures against those looking to flout the rules.
