Northcutt To Star As Ken In Street Fighter Movie

In 1994, the popular video game Street Fighter would be turned into a movie starring action star Jean Claude Van Damme and the late Raul Julia.

25-years later, with the game’s popularity maintaining through new versions of the game and the rise of Esports, an unofficial fan film is in the works with current ONE Championship fighter Sage Northcutt in a major role.

Northcutt, who was a rising star in the UFC before signing with ONE earlier this year, will play Ken, in the upcoming unauthorized film Street Fighter: Genesis. The film, set for a release next year, looks to provide a “retelling” of the game’s origin story with some of the more popular characters in the game including Sagat, Ryu, Ken, M. Bison, and more.
