Nunes Scouting Featherweight Fighters At UFC Norfolk

“The Lioness” is looking for her next meal.

Current UFC Bantamweight and Featherweight Champion Amanda Nunes has successfully defended the Bantamweight Title five times. She has yet to defend the Featherweight Title she won from Cris Cyborg at UFC 232, however. This weekend’s fights at UFC Norfolk this weekend could feature the next big challenge for her.

Four fighters will be competing at UFC Fight Night 169 inside the Chartway Arena in Norfolk, Virginia. Felicia Spencer faces Zarah Fairn dos Santos while Megan Anderson faces Norma Dumont Viana. The winner of both bouts could face one another to determine who gets to face Nunes, unless she has something to say about it. According to MMAFighting, Nunes (19-4) wants to defend her Featherweight Title in Brazil at UFC 250.

Combate went on to say that the UFC has plans for Nunes to fight on the May 9 event. The 31-year-old is on a ten-fight win streak, and hasn’t lost a bout since 2014. If Nunes really is scouting her next fight, this weekend’s card would be the perfect one for her to pay attention to.

UFC 250 takes place inside Ginásio do Ibirapuera. The scheduled main event is Henry Cejudo defending the Bantamweight Title against Jose Aldo.

Who would you want to see Nunes face for the 145-pound title?
