Oleksandr Usyk Aims To Take On Canelo At Heavyweight

Oleksandr Usyk (19-0, 13 KOs) can go on and solidify his legacy with Anthony Joshua, but his manager said he has other plans.

Egis Klimas, Usyk’s manager, is reportedly willing to bring his fighter down to 201 lbs so he can compete with Canelo.

The development comes only a few hours after Hearn appeared in an interview, suggesting that Usyk may want to fight the Mexican boxer.

Hearn claimed that the 31-year-old had texted him about fighting against Usyk at 201 lbs. He even said that Canelo was confident that he could overcome the Ukrainian professional boxer.

Considering the fact that the Ukrainian and his manager are ready to call his bluff, makes this encounter even spicier.

There won’t be a sweeter feeling for Canelo if he snatches the three heavyweight belts from the 35-year-old.

Some critics have questioned the Mexican’s intentions about his legacy.
