Oleksandr Usyk Is Named No. 1 Pound-For-Pound Fighter, Devin Haney Not Happy About List
Ring Magazine’s rankings are updated.
Oleksandr Usyk’s second victory over Anthony Joshua earned him not only the vacated Ring Magazine heavyweight title, but also the No. 1 Ring Magazine pound-for-pound ranking but it came with some resistance.
Naoya Inoue, is the three-division titleholder and current Ring bantamweight champion. Some members still favored Inoue in the top, but they were outvoted.
Meanwhile, undisputed lightweight champion Devin Haney wasn’t happy with the magazine’s latest rankings.
Haney, who holds the four belts including the Ring Magazine title, said on Twitter that he will not be seen with the magazine’s strap anymore.
The ring magazine could keep their belt… You won’t see me with it before or after this fight! 🤝 https://t.co/88MiGAw0IU
