Oleksandr Usyk Reacts To Tyson Fury Fighting Anthony Joshua Next

The match between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua for the WBC heavyweight championship looks to attract a lot of fans. However, there is one person who doesn’t seem impressed with this news and that is Oleksandr Usyk.

The Ukrainian boxer had initially dismissed all reports of him being against the Fury-Joshua matchup on December 3.

“I’m not p—d off. The bigger problem is Fury is not letting fans see one of the best bouts in boxing history,” said Usyk to RingTV.

“That’s his fault. Not mine. From a sportsmanship standpoint, it’s not correct.”

Usyk and Joshua had a tussle in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where it was the Ukrainian who emerged victorious.

Usyk wants Fury to be in the best possible condition next year rather than taking a risky fight that he could lose against Joshua.

Fury-Joshua has yet to be officially announced, but Fury’s co-promoter Frank Warren said that contracts are on the way. It’s unclear if there will be a rematch clause for the Fury-Joshua matchup.

If Fury beats Joshua in this matchup, the two may meet in the second clash in 2023.
