Oliveira Addresses The Holloway Rematch

Charles Oliveira has confirmed that a rematch with Max Holloway will not be taking place at UFC 324 in January.

Speculation began after the official UFC Brazil social media account prematurely posted—and quickly deleted—an announcement teasing a BMF title fight between the two. Oliveira, who beat Mateusz Gamrot in October, called out Holloway for the BMF belt, while Max is recovering from a hand injury he suffered during his victory over Dustin Poirier at UFC 318 in July. The Brazilian lightweight has now denied the January date, but insists the fight is being worked on.

“The fight won’t be in January, but the fight will happen. I want it, he wants it, you want it… “I believe this fight will happen in March/April,” Oliveira said
