Oliveira Calls Out Gaethje

Charles Oliveira (37-11, 1 NC) wasted little time staking his claim to a Justin Gaethje (28-5) title shot, calling out the newly crowned UFC lightweight champion, pitting the belt against his BMF title.

Gaethje claimed the lightweight title with an upset of Ilia Topuria at UFC Freedom 250 last weekend. Oliveira holds a submission victory over Gaethje from their UFC 274 fight in May 2022, and captured the BMF belt in March by beating Max Holloway at UFC 326. Gaethje has not responded to the callout. The new champion hinted during his post-fight interview with Joe Rogan that retirement had crossed his mind.
