Despite a last-minute main event shift, the card for ONE Fight Night 42 is now set, as things are ready to kick off this Friday evening in Thailand.
Live from the world-famous Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, the event will be headlined by undefeated 185-pound MMA contenders Chase Mann and Dzhabir Dzhabrailov. But the Mann-Dzhabrailov bout was originally planned for the co-main event slot with the 170-pound kickboxing title on the line between Regian Eersel and Rungrawee in the main event, but that bout will now be featured on another card.
Mann is 7-0 through his professional career, but his first match in ONE back in January did not serve as a genuine test, as his opponent suffered a knee injury in the first round, which ultimately led to the debut stoppage victory. In his first six bouts as a professional, Mann secured three wins by submission and another two by knockout.
Dzhabrailov holds an overall record of 6-0, with his most recent three victories occurring under the ONE Championship banner. In all of his ONE matches so far, Dzhabrailov has finished the fight in the very first round, and in dramatic fashion.

In addition to the highly anticipated main event MMA bout, Dante Leon will take on Kenta Iwamoto in an 185-pound submission grappling match with serious title implications on the line. While this is the pair’s first meeting in ONE, they have fought before, as Leon recalled in a recent interview.
“We fought in a different organization. It was three five-minute rounds with points awarded, a very different ruleset from ONE. I was able to submit him in the third round.
“There’s going to be a different challenge here. I obviously have to get to work a little bit quicker. You have to be able to get the job done within those 10 minutes rather than rely on the last five-minute round.”

Leon currently holds a record of 2-1 inside the promotion, achieving wins over Bruno Pucci and Tommy Langaker. But he ran into trouble in his last outing against Tye Ruotolo in May 2025, losing by unanimous decision and missing his first opportunity to grasp the 185-pound submission grappling world title.
Leon will look to bounce back in the ranks of ONE Championship following the match with Ruotolo when he meets promotional debutant Kenta Iwamoto. The Japanese grappling sensation may be new to ONE, but is no stranger to high-level Jiu-Jitsu competition, made evident by his three ADCC Asia & Oceania Trials championship titles earned in 2019, 2022, and 2023.
