ONE Championship’s 2024 North American Return

It is now official that ONE Championship will make their return to the States, having already announced two high level matchups for ONE: 168 this September.

Live from Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado, the event’s headlining bout will feature crowd favorite Stamp Fairtex challenging for Jingnan Xiong’s 125-pound MMA title. Additionally, a co-main event has been announced. Jonathan Haggerty will now hope to defend his 145-pound Muay Thai belt versus skilled Thai striker Superlek Kiatmoo9.

While no other fights have been declared, it is anticipated that ONE will fill the card further with top level talent to appease the American audience.  The Singapore based organization last touched down on U.S. soil with ONE Fight Night 10 last May, so with the length of time between visits to the States they will no doubt be looking to make an impact.

Since the start of his time with ONE in 2019, Jonathan Haggerty has been displaying his world-class striking on another level. Aside from Rodtang Jitmuangnon, who he lost to twice over four years ago, “The General” has been steamrolling his opponents in both Kickboxing and Muay Thai under the organization’s banner.

But, when met with a challenge as great as Thailand’s legendary Superlek, even the best have fallen short. Earlier this year, Superlek faced extreme adversity in his bout with Japanese K-1 Kickboxing phenom Takeru Segawa, but ultimately managed to pull through and secure the unanimous decision win in the main event at ONE 165 in Tokyo.

Where & When:

ONE 168 will go down on September 6th in Denver, Colorado, and will stream live on Amazon Prime Video. With details still being released, it is expected that the company could book up to 8 more fights to fill the undercard.

ONE 168 Confirmed Bouts:

  • Main Event: Xiong Jing Nan vs. Stamp Fairtex – 125-Pound MMA Title
  • Co-Main: Jonathan Haggerty vs. Superlek Kiatmoo9 – 145-Pound Muay Thai Title
