Louis is regarded as one of the greatest and most influential boxers of all time.

He reigned as the world heavyweight champion from 1937 to 1949, which was his temporary retirement. Still, he successfully defended his title 25 times, a record for all weight classes.

He died at 66 years old by cardiac arrest.
