Orlando Gonzalez Vs. Robeisy Ramirez Confirmed As Tyson Fury-Deontay Wilder Fight Undercard
Puerto Rico’s Orlando Gonzalez could have his breakthrough soon.
Gonzalez has confirmed a featherweight showdown against two-time Olympic Gold medalist Robeisy Ramirez as part of the undercard for Tyson Fury versus Deontay Wilder super fight rematch.
Gonzalez has been looking for opportunities this big to raise his stocks. The Puerto Rican boxer has never been part of such a big event where he gets to share the card with the likes of boxing juggernauts such as the Gypsy King (30-0-1, 21 KOs) and Bronze Bomber (42-1-1, 41 KOs).
The event will be held on October 9 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Gonzalez (17-0, 10 KOs) has racked up quite a win streak at 26.
He’s coming off an eight-round victory against Luis Porozo last June. He has been linked to a fight against former junior featherweight titlist Isaac Dogboe, but the talks never progressed to paper.
The upcoming Vegas fight will be the second time Gonzalez gets to fight in Sin City. However, it’s familiar territory for Ramirez (7-1, 4KOs), who has fought six times in Vegas.
Ever since losing on his pro boxing debut to Adan Gonzales in 2019, Ramirez has been on fire. He is on a seven-fight win streak.
