Golden Boy Promotions, Vergil Ortiz Jr. (24-0, 22 KOs), and his manager Rick Mirigian have reached a settlement resolving their outstanding contractual dispute.

“I’m very grateful that Golden Boy and I were able to come to an understanding and resolve everything. I’m excited to move forward and make the biggest fights happen, including the Ennis fight,” Ortiz Jr.
Ortiz filed suit against Golden Boy in January, alleging breach of contract. Golden Boy then filed a $10 million lawsuit against Mirigian, stating he shared details of Ortiz’s contractual position with rival promoters. An injunction was obtained by Golden Boy that blocked Ortiz from fighting until their arbitration was resolved. That has now concluded but the terms of the settlement remain confidential.
