Ortiz Opens As Favorite Against Liddell

Even though an official fight has not been announced, Tito Ortiz has been set as the sizeable favorite  for a potential third fight against Chuck Liddell.

Ortiz walks into this hypothetical matchup down in the career series against the “Iceman” 0-2, but the younger fighter has been set by Bovada as a 2 to 1 favorite against Liddell.

Liddell said on The MMA Hour this week that he expects the fight in November, and promoted under Oscar de la Hoya’s Golden Boy banner in either Las Vegas or California.

“It’s a real thing,” LIddell said. “They’re working on it.”

Liddell would knock Ortiz in the first two meetings the light heavyweights had in 2004 and 2006, but Ortiz has fought more recently than Liddell, who last fought in 2010 in a knockout loss to Rich Franklin.
