There’s still no word on when Ortiz will make his Combate America debut or against who.

Ortiz is a former UFC light heavyweight champion and spent time competing in Bellator from 2014 to 2017. Ortiz initially retired after his 2017 fight against Chael Sonnen at Bellator 170 where Ortiz submitted Sonnen in about two minutes. The 44-year-old came out of retirement late last year to fight Chuck Liddell in the main event of an MMA card that was promoted by Oscar De La Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions. Ortiz won that fight by knocking out Liddell in the first round and announced his retirement once again.
