Oscar De La Hoya Gives A Golden Boy Reunion To Canelo On Twitter
It hasn’t been the best year for Canelo Alvarez (57-2-2) fans.
The defeat against Dmitry Bivol was only the second time the Mexican was defeated in his professional career. However, there is one supporter who remains optimistic about Alvarez’s future — Oscar De La Hoya.
The American boxing promoter has shared his own ideas about what Canelo should do next. On his Twitter account, the 49-year-old said that it is never too late to switch back to the best promoter.
It isn’t too late (yet) to switch back to the best promoter.

De La Hoya has single-handedly promoted the Mexican throughout his career. Through his methods, the East Los Angeles native turned Alvarez into the latest PPV powerhouse and inheritor of the Cinco de Mayo mantle.
Due to the support of De La Hoya, Canelo has become a massive attraction inside and outside the boxing ring.
In the turn of events, Canelo filed a lawsuit for massive financial damages against De La Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions in September 2000.
The filing of the lawsuit led to the Golden Boy releasing the 31-year-old from his contract.
