Oscar De La Hoya Talks About Making Gervonta Davis-Ryan Garcia Happen And Selling Golden Boy Promotions
All roads lead to Ryan Garcia.
That’s what Oscar De La Hoya said after watching the new undisputed lightweight champion Devin Haney defeat George Kambosos Jr by unanimous decision.
But before that statement, De La Hoya said all he could think about was Haney and WBA regular lightweight champion Gervonta Davis meeting inside the ring.
All I can think of is Haney Vs Tank being the most exciting fight in boxing.

Meanwhile, Garcia has been positioning himself for a Davis fight over the last two years. He was even sitting ringside when Davis knocked out challenger Rolando Romero at the Barclays Center on May 28.
During the Haney vs Kambosos fight, Garcia made it clear that he wasn’t entertained by what he was seeing and called out to Davis.
“You Watching this stuff?? When We fight don’t let it be like this!!!” Garcia tweeted.

Davis replied, “Shut the f—up!”
Garcia responded: “Oh yeah you say shut the f*k up but you were screaming I’m next. You should want this fight, don’t trip your disrespect will be addressed!! Promise you that B****”

Of the four boxers mentioned, Garcia is the only one who has an upcoming fight left. He faces Javier Fortuna on July 16; Garcia held a press conference on Tuesday in preparation for it.
Garcia was originally ordered to face Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz – who gave Davis a tougher fight than expected – but Cruz’s team said the boxer already had a fight planned.
Garcia, 23, has won all 22 of his pro fights with 18 of those coming by knockouts. He last fought Emmanuel Tagoe and won by unanimous decision, but for some fans, he didn’t win convincingly enough.
Like Garcia, De La Hoya, who promotes him, said he’s ready to make a deal with Davis.
“I’m ready to give Tank Davis a multi-multimillion-dollar [deal],” he said.
“I strongly feel that’s the fight to make. Those are the types of fights that make superstars.”
In separate news, during Tuesday’s press conference, De La Hoya said he “can’t wait” to “get rid” of Golden Boy Promotions.
