Oscar Valdez Vs. Jayson Velez Results

For the final time (for now) this summer, Top Rank will be hosting a mid-week fight night. Inside the MGM Grand Conference Center in Las Vegas, the promotion will look to go out with a bang. A stacked card from top to bottom will air on ESPN.

The main event will be Oscar Valdez v. Jayson Velez.

Valdez (27-0), the former WBO Featherweight Champion, fought three times in 2019. He defended the title six times up until June 2019. After that, he moved up to junior-lightweight and beat Adam Lopez back in November via TKO. It was his 21st bout that ended via some form of knockout. He is hoping to face Miguel Berchelt for the WBC Super-Featherweight Title down the line.

Velez (29-6-1) is 2-1 in his last three fights after losing to prospect Ryan Garcia in 2018. His last bout was a split decision loss against Jaime Arboleda back in February. The former contender is looking to spoil the party and earn himself a title shot against Berchelt.

Also set to return to action is Kim Clavel, the former ESPY/Pat Tillman Award winner.

FIGHT SPORTS will be providing results from Valdez v. Velez!
