O’Shaquie Foster Wants Unification Bout With Joe Cordina – ‘We Ain’t Duckin’

O’Shaquie Foster, who holds the WBC super featherweight title, has demanded a unification bout with Joe Cordina, the current IBF champion.

Cordina (16-0, 9 KOs) expressed his desire for a unification fight after defeating Shavkat Rakhimov via a split decision to get the IBF belt.

While that may be the case, there are other options on the table for Cordina. A huge domestic fight with Zelfa Barrett could follow, while a fight with WBA champion Hector Garcia could also be made.

And on top of that, the hard-hitting WBO champion Emanuel Navarrete is also available. But for Cordina, Barrett will have to wait.

“Nah, he’ll have to wait. I want a unification, especially with the opponent he fought tonight [Jason Sanchez]. It wasn’t top. So he has to get himself back in the mix before me [to] consider him.

Don’t get me wrong. It will happen down the line, but he has to be a meaningful fight, but at this present moment, it ain’t. I got more meaningful and bigger & better things to be chasing,” Cordina

And out of all of the champions, Foster has shown a desire to get in the ring.
