Ostovich Describes Assault By Husband
The court documents for the assault on UFC fighter Rachael Ostovich, allegedly done by her husband have been released.
The documents, obtained by TMZ, give Ostovich’s account of what occurred between her and her husband, Arnold Berdon, on November 18th.
“After a night out with family, [Arnold Berdon] punched me repeatedly on the head, face, ribs, making me fall to the ground,” Rachael said to the court to gain a restraining order filed in Hawaii.
“I gasped for breath and escaped thru [sic] balcony. I coughed up blood, threw up several times. Cracked orbital.”
Ostovich cited another domestic incident from May 6th of this year, where Berdon punched her in the legs repeatedly, leaving bruises.
In the restraining order request, Ostovich claims that Berdon is a danger to both her and their five-year-old daughter. Leading to the court demanding Berdon stay at least 100 feet from either person.
Ostovich was set to fight Paige VanZant in January for the UFC’s first card on ESPN+, but was pulled due to the injuries suffered in the attack. If found guilty of second degree attempted murder, Berdon can face life imprisonment.
