Outlaw-Piccolotti Set For Bellator 242 Clash

The lightweights will be in action at Bellator 242 on May 9, as Sidney Outlaw and Adam Piccolotti will face off. The bout was first confirmed by FanSided.

Outlaw (14-4) is looking to get back in the win column. Following his successful return back at Bellator 234 in November against Roger Huerta, “Da Gun” lost to Michael Chandler in a last-minute bout a month later at Bellator 237. The loss ended a nine-fight win streak that started in 2016. Outlaw originally fought under the Bellator banner back in 2014, beating Mike Bannon via unanimous decision at Bellator 118.

“Da Gun” will clash against “The Bomb” in Adam Piccolotti. The 31-year-old Piccolotti (12-3) is coming off of a submission win against Jake Smith at Bellator 225 in September. He is 3-3 in his last six fights. Piccolotti has been with Bellator since 2015, and owns an 8-3 record with the promotion.

Bellator 242 takes place inside the SAP Center in San Jose, California. The main event will be double-champion Ryan Bader defending his Light Heavyweight Championship against Vadim Nemkov. The co-main event will be Welterweight Champion Douglas Lima facing Gegard Mousasi for the vacant Middleweight Championship.
