Pacquiao Arrives In U.S To Finish Broner Camp
Manny Pacquiao has returned to the United States, as he prepares to make the first defense of his WBA “regular” welterweight title.
The Filipino senator arrived in Los Angeles on Christmas eve, bringing his whole family with him for the Christmas holiday, as he looks to wrap up his camp in Los Angeles, California at the Wild Card boxing gym.
Pacquiao is set to face Adrien Broner on January 19th, his first fight in the States since his 2016 win over Jessie Vargas.
When asked if the 11-year age gap would be an issue for the 40-year old Pacquiao, he told reporter’s that : “Forty is the beginning of life.”
“When I train, I push myself to the limit. And when you age, it’s harder for your body to recover,” he told reporters.
“I’m just giving my body more time to rest,” he said of arriving to the States earlier than usual to finish his training with Freddie Roach.
