Pacquiao Calls Out Matthysse

Manny Pacquiao has decided to call his shot on who he wants to see standing across from him this April, and it is not Mike Alvarado.

In an interview with Fight News on Tuesday, the Filipino Senator/ international boxing star stated that he wants Argentinian fighter, Lucas Matthysse in his comeback fight.

Matthysse last fought on January 27th, beating Tewa Kiram for the WBA welterweight title in Los Angeles.

Pacquiao told Fight News that a matchup with Matthysse would be a dynamic and fan pleasing fight.

“This is the fight that I like…a fight fans would also like to see,” Pacquiao, 39, said. “I can fight in April or even May.”

The only issue would be negotiating the fight between Matthysse’s promoters Golden Boy Promotions and Bob Arum’s Top Rank promotions, who are looking to place Pacquiao on the Jeff Horn- Terence Crawford card set for April 14th at Madison Square Garden.
