Pacquiao Is Open To Face Errol Spence Jr., Terence Crawford; Freddie Roach Says Pacman Wants Rematch With Mayweather
Many Pacquiao is sharing the ring with Yordenis Ugas on Saturday, but the boxer has revealed he might be eyeing his next opponents – if he keeps boxing.
Pacquiao’s trainer Freddie Roach said the Pacman would like to take on Floyd Mayweather one more time. On Wednesday, Pacquiao said that he would be open to rescheduling a matchup with Errol Spence Jr and maybe also revisit discussing a bout with Terence Crawford.
“As long as I’m still in boxing,” Pacquiao said Wednesday. “I’m open to and willing to fight Terence Crawford, Errol Spence or anybody – the best.”
Mayweather – who fought Pacman in 2015 — is one of Pacquiao’ few losses. He retired at 44.
Spence was the original opponent for Saturday, but the undefeated champ had to withdraw due to an eye injury. He underwent successful eye surgery on August 11, just a day after his withdrawal was announced.
Crawford (37-0, 28 KOs) currently holds the WBO welterweight title belt. He is supposed to be facing Shawn Porter in an upcoming battle.
Still, amidst the noise of retirement, Pacquiao said Wednesday that he’s taking his fights “one at a time.”
