Pacquiao Looking To Shut “Loud Mouth” Thurman Up

It seems Manny Pacquiao has not taken kindly to Keith Thurman’s threat to send the Filipino senator into retirement when they face off on July 20th.

Thurman and Pacquiao will face off for Thurman’s WBA “super” welterweight title on Pay Per View, with Thurman promising to send the 40-year-old into retirement the same way Pacquiao did to Oscar De La Hoya nearly a decade ago.”He’s a loudmouth outside the ring. Let’s see if he can back it up inside the ring,” Pacquiao said Thursday as he trained in Manila.

“Some boxers are arrogant while other boxers are humble. Thurman? We know he’s arrogant,” added Pacquiao, who holds the WBA’s “regular” version of the welterweight crown.

“I’m so motivated for this training camp because of his trash talk, like that. I would rather have my fists do the talking.”

Pacquiao will continue to train in both his native Philippines and the Wild Card Boxing Club in Los Angeles, with Freddie Roach and Buboy Fernandez leading the training, moving the camp fully to California on June 15th.

Thurman in press events in New York and Los Angeles would not let up on his intention to end Pacquiao’s career to further his own.

“His legacy ends on July 20. He’s had a wonderful career, and been an inspiration,” Thurman said.

“We all love him and respect him. And I’m respectfully going to kick the s**t out of him.”

“My last fight was (Adrien) Broner and he was only 29 years old. That’s not a problem,” Pacquiao said Thursday of fighting younger opponents.
