Pacquiao Makes Light Of Mayweather-Nasukawa

Manny Pacquiao’s mantra heading into fight week is that he’s only focused on his opponent Adrien Broner.

Yet, most people in the boxing world have been focused on a potential rematch between Pacquiao and the undefeated Floyd Mayweather. When asked of Mayweather’s exhibition on New Year’s eve against Tenshin Nasukawa, the Filipino Senator was decidedly unimpressed.

“It’s my first time to see an exhibition where you knock your opponent out,” Pacquiao said. “Supposedly an exhibition is just to entertain people, nothing serious, for three rounds. But that’s what I understand about exhibitions.”

This is the second time Mayweather has been pinged by Pacquiao over his $9 million payday at RIZIN 14, where he stopped Nasukawa in under three minutes.

“I have no problem fighting anybody as long as there is no problems with the negotiations,” Pacquiao said of a rematch against Mayweather. “My plan is just one at a time.”
