Pacquiao Suffered Scratched Cornea

It seems a case of the cold wasn’t the only ailment the Filipino senator would sustain last week, as reports indicate the WBA “regular” welterweight champion suffered an eye injury on Saturday night.

Pacquiao would keep the injury mum on Saturday night, but per a story from Boxing Scene, Pacquiao would suffer a scratched cornea at some point during his unanimous decision win on Saturday against Adrien Broner.

Following the fight, Pacquiao would see an eye specialist on Sunday who would prescribe an antibiotic ointment to soothe the injury suffered to his left eye.

Sources indicate Pacquiao was injured when Broner scraped his eye with a glove off of a glancing blow or a release from a clinch.
