Pacquiao Team Shocked By Khan Announcement

So, about that deal Amir Khan said was signed by Manny Pacquiao for a fight this November in Saudi Arabia… Well that news was more shocking to Team Pacquiao than it was to boxing fans.

Only a few hours after Khan’s press conference announcing his return to Saudi Arabia to fight the Filipino Senator, Pacquiao’s team would immediately respond.

Khan Claims Deal With Manny For Saudi Arabia

Pacquiao’s publicist Fred Sternburg told The National: “Manny has not signed a contract for that fight.”

Doubling down on the sentiment, Sean Gibbons, president of MP Promotions would tell Boxing Scene they had no idea about this.

“It’s simple, Senator Pacquiao is focused on his fight July 20 on Fox Sports Pay-Per-View versus Keith Thurman,” Gibbons, president of MP Promotions said.

“The Amir Khan fight is news to us.”

“The Senator is completely unaware of any fight with Amir Khan and has never signed any contract for the fight,” Gibbons concluded to Boxing Scene.
