Pacquiao Throws Out First Pitch At Yankee Stadium
Manny Pacquiao (62-8-2, 39 KOs) threw the ceremonial first pitch at Yankee Stadium.
The eight-division world champion did so ahead of the New York Yankees’ 5-3 win against the Oakland Athletics. Pacquiao received a loud ovation from the New York crowd as he delivered a left-handed strike to the Yankees’ catcher JC Escarra. Pacquiao then shared that baseball was actually his first love: “For the longest time, when I was young, in elementary school I used to play baseball. It’s my first sport before boxing. To stand on this mound where so many legends have played is a great honor. I might be a boxer, but today I’m just a fan of the game.”
Nice throw, @MannyPacquiao!
