Pacquiao-Thurman Eyed For July 13th
After putting up a poll of potential opponents, Manny Pacquiao may have found the next person he stands across from.
According to The Ring Magazine’s Mike Coppinger, Pacquiao and fellow WBA welterweight world champion, Keith Thurman are near a deal for a fight on July 13th.
The July date is optimal for Pacquiao, as that is when the Filipino Senate is out of session, so both men can fight for the WBA “regular” (Pacquiao) and “super” (Thurman) versions of the title.

Pacquiao won his WBA “regular” welterweight title in July 2018, when he knocked out Lucas Matthysse, while Thurman spent most of the past two years outside of the ring dealing with multiple injuries and the birth of his child.
While no other details have emerged, Pacquiao-Thurman would most certainly be a Pay-Per-View, the same way Pacquiao’s win over Adrien Broner was aired on Showtime Pay-Per-View in January, with over 400,000 purchases of the Las Vegas based broadcast.
