Bob Arum was left disappointed by the possibility of Manny Pacquiao facing Conor Benn.
According to reports, Pacquiao may be in line to face Benn in Abu Dhabi on June 3rd, 2023. This is despite the fact that Benn tested positive for clomiphene on two occasions.
While the Brit has been reinstated by the WBC, he has failed to clear his name with the British Boxing Board of Control.
As he has no British license, Pacquiao has been mentioned as an opponent overseas alongside Kell Brook and Chris Eubank Jr.

Sean Gibbons, the CEO of Manny Pacquiao Promotions, has made it clear that the 8-division champion is keen on Benn, with the ball in Eddie Hearn’s court.
And yet, at the age of 44, Arum has not been pleased to see his former fighter potentially making a return.
“That’s sort of sad, because he is [44 years old]. But I know he always stays in good shape. And I wish him nothing but the best, but you know, it’s just sad at the age of [44] that he feels it necessary to pursue a boxing career,” Arum
And this was reflected in the comments that followed on social media.

Exactly. Pacquiao doesn't need to fight. Stay away from a young fighter especially the eggy ones.

Yeah cause he's not making any money off of him anymore. Made a shit load of money for him and that's all he has to say. Yea maybe because he ripped off so much money from Manny that he has to fight. Yea I wish he would keep them hanged up, but wish him well & go about your biz.

Dont disagree. When you see great legends comeback after a long layoff. 99% of the time it ends badly. I hope everything works out for everyone involved and that no one gets seriously hurt.
