Paddy Pimblett Gives Hints On UFC Return
Paddy Pimblett said he’ll be returning the octagon soon.
MMA fans have been waiting since Pimblett’s victorious debt. Now, he said he’s likely to return at a UFC London fight card. Pimblett had been rumored to face veteran Donald Cerrone, but he shut it down.
“It’s going round everywhere, but there’s no truth to it. Nothing on my end,” he clarified.
“I would like to fight in London, in front of my home crowd. It would be sick… That’s what I’m guessing (will happen) and that’s what I’ve been told, that me and Molly will be fighting on the same card… That’s happening. I’m gonna take someone’s head off again in the O2,” he added.
Pimblett had signed with MMA’s top company in mid-2021. In September, he made his first appearance at UFC Vegas 36. On the main card of a European-heavy tournament, he was accompanied by UK stars Darren Till and Tom Aspinall.
Pimblett promised several times that he would knock Luigi Vendramini out in the first round. That prediction seemed implausible in the early exchanges.
With less than a minute until the bell rang, Pimblett rediscovered his stride and knocked out his Brazilian opponent on the ground.
Despite the fact that Cerrone isn’t likely to be the opponent, Pimblett is looking forward to the March 19 London walk. He also informed Bisping that he will be on the card, which already features his colleague Molly McCann and another UK star, Jack Shore.
