Paige VanZant Eyes Power Slap Title

Paige VanZant plans to become a Power Slap champion.

VanZant will make her debut on June 28 live from the Fontainebleau Hotel and Casino against Christine Wolmarans. The news follows her departure from the UFC, where she left in 2020 after 6 years. That was after suffering three out of four losses in the final chapter of her UFC career. Her time in BKFC was also not any better.

In both her fights against Rachel Ostovich and Britain Hart, VanZant came up short. She then transitioned into boxing and signed a deal with Misfits. Her first fight was with Elle Brooke. Despite getting dropped, VanZant recovered to take a draw. They did express their desire for a rematch. But now it seems Power Slap is the main focus.

“When I first saw Power Slap, I thought holy…that’s insane. When I see stuff that is crazy and exciting, it instantly makes me want to do it. I’m definitely an adrenaline junkie and I have been since a young age, I did grow up dancing and I was a cheerleader, but I like to have the thrills in life. I love to compete and this is violent and this is literally the epitome of being a dog. I need to take a belt home, that is the goal. I’m not going to go anywhere until I get the belt,” VanZant said
