Paramount Plus Set To Film Biography On Anderson Silva

It looks like streaming services now understand the kind of potential the MMA market has.

After achieving the heights with “Mais Forte que o Mundo” (Stronger Than the World), which tells a story about former UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo, streaming service Paramount Plus will now reportedly take on the biography of Anderson Silva.

A few days ago, O Globo columnist Patricia Kogut published a picture of actor William Nascimento, who will play the role of the Brazilian MMA legend. Alongside him, there was one of the greatest singers and actors in this country, Seu Jorge.

The 52-year-old will play the role of Benedito, the uncle of Silva.

After breaking out the news about a potential film on Silva, Jorge shared his admiration for the MMA legend on his social media.

“Anderson Silva is a great winner. I’m a very good friend of his, I adore him, and his whole family,” he wrote.

“It’s an honor to represent such an important character in Anderson’s history. Seeing the biography of this athlete’s life being told is the greatest joy because it is these Brazilian stories that inspire people. And, for me, it’s been much more than a gift to be able to help tell this story.”

Alongside the Silva movie, a movie called “Faixa Preta,” is also about to hit the cinemas, which tells a story about the Brazilian icon, Fernando Tererê.
