Parker Open To Fight On Joshua Undercard

Even though he took the loss on March 31st, Joseph Parker is looking positively towards the future, and potentially towards Wembley Stadium.

In a report from the New Zealand Herald, Parker and his promoter David Higgins are open to the former WBO champion being on the undercard for the rumored Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder fight this summer at Wembley, or even the undercard of the next Joshua fight.

“We saw what a big deal the Povetkin-Price fight was as the main undercard fight to Parker-Joshua, and a Joshua show has a massive audience,” Higgins told the Herald. “It’s about leaving ego out of it.”

Higgins added: “I spoke to Eddie Hearn yesterday and he said he would be more than happy to help out with opportunities. There are options. I will talk to [American co-promoter] Bob Arum too and there is always the option of fighting in New Zealand again.”

While nothing is set in stone, Higgins and Parker will be sitting down in the near future, and per the DUCO Promotions head. “the early indications are that he wants to fight again sooner rather than later.”
