Patricio Pitbull Undergoes Surgery, Out Until 2024

After having surgery on his cervical spine, Bellator featherweight champion Patricio Pitbull will not be able to compete again until 2024.

Pitbull lost by knockout to Chihiro Suzuki at Super RIZIN 2 on July 30th, 2023, as he acknowledged the need for surgery. He admitted having pain in his neck and arms.

Now that the surgery has been done, Pitbull is expected to make a return in six months. This will be vital following his recent form.

Since he defended his belt against Adam Borics, Pitbull has beaten Kleber Koike. However, that was followed up by a loss to Sergio Pettis and the loss to Suzuki.

But now it appears that Pitbull is in good health following the procedure.

“I was very conservative and paid the price. I had never lost two in a row nor got knocked out in 19 years as a professional. My only way out was doing the surgery,” Pitbull
