Bellator x RIZIN 2: Patricky Pitbull Stops Roberto de Souza In The Third Round
Patricky Pitbull beat Roberto de Souza with a third-round stoppage in the lightweight World Grand Prix quarterfinal from the Saitama Super Arena, Japan.
Pitbull was meant to face A.J. McKee, but the latter withdrew which is why de Souza stepped in. In the opening round, Pitbull kept de Souza on the outside.
The latter responded with his leg kicks, and a right hand just missed. In response, Pitbull landed his own kick as the two fighters exchanged.

De Souza attempted to do a takedown, but Pitbull responded with a calf kick. Both fighters exchanged near the cage, as the bell concluded the opening round.
In the following round, Pitbull fought off a takedown as he backed up de Souza. Thereafter, Pitbull followed with body kicks as de Souza became gunshy.
Pitbull, subsequently, landed a flying knee that sent de Souza to the floor, but the latter recovered as the bell went.
But in the third round, the bout was over. Pitbull landed a leg kick, putting de Souza on the floor. He followed up with some ground and pound strikes, as the bout was stopped.
