Paul Daley Has One Last Fight In Him

Paul Daley has his mind set.

Daley was featured on “The MMA Hour” where he said he has a battle scheduled on May 13, which will be the last fight for him, no matter the result.

After a 19-year career and 63 octagon clashes, he’s finally ready to put up his gloves.
But the welterweight fighter has previously hinted at retirement and most recently claimed that he will retire following his victory over Sabah Homasi.

But he didn’t retire after that fight. He went to take on Jason Jackson, who he lost to two months later.

While he is unlikely to be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame anytime soon, he was a driving influence in the early 2010s growth of British MMA along with former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping

He joined Strikeforce after quitting the promotion after losing to Josh Koscheck. He never won the promotion’s 170lb championship, but he had one of the finest bouts in 2011 versus Nick Diaz.

He joined Bellator in 2012 and established himself as one of the promotion’s top competitors.

While he never earned the gold for the organization, he did win nine matches in the promotion. He defeated names like Lorenz Larkin, Erick Silva and Brennan Ward along the road.

The May London card features Yaroslav Amosov vs. Michael Venom Page as the main event. His opponent has yet to be announced.
