Donald Trump was in attendance at UFC 327 in Miami this past weekend and made a post about Paulo Costa’s knockout following their conversation at the event, and now ‘The Eraser’ has thanked the President on social media.
Paulo Costa went toe-to-toe in the co-main event with Azamat Murzakanov, who was undefeated at 6-0 in the UFC prior to this match. The former middleweight title challenger lived up to his popular nickname by knocking out Murzakanov in the third round with a devastating head kick.
Following his failed attempt to grasp the title back in 2020 in his match versus then-champion Israel Adesanya, Costa lost three of his next four matches and looked far from the fighter that defeated Yoel Romero back in 2019. But now Costa has bounced back and finds himself on a two-fight streak with wins over Roman Kopylov and now Murzakanov.
Following the brief conversation after Costa’s knockout victory, the President took to social media to praise Costa for his entertaining performance, to which the Brazilian replied to thank him for the kind words.
