PBC’s First Amazon Prime Video PPV: Tszyu Vs. Thurman On March 30

Tim Tszyu will headline PBC’s first PPV on Amazon Prime Video against Keith Thurman on March 30, 2024.

The news comes shortly after Gervonta Davis was linked with headlining against Frank Martin on this PPV. Now, boxing fans will see Tszyu make the second defense of his WBO Junior Middleweight title. The Australian was elevated from an interim champion to a full champion after Jermell Charlo was stripped for fighting Canelo Alvarez at super middleweight instead. Once Tszyu acquired the belt, he made the first successful defense of his title, beating Brian Mendoza in a unanimous decision.

Thurman can become a two-weight world champion as he moves up to 154. The former Unified Welterweight Champion’s career has suffered. Since 2019, Thurman has only fought once when he faced Mario Barrios in 2022. A unanimous decision win followed, but injuries prevented Thurman from capitalizing on that. But he has only ever lost to Manny Pacquiao, showing that Thurman may have one more shot at a world title at 35.
