Pereira And Strickland’s Sparring Session
Two-weight UFC Champion Alex Pereira sparred Sean Strickland, as they traded in the centre.
The clip features the two throwing heavy combinations, with Strickland channeling Max Holloway. Sean was seen pointing at the center of the mat—replicating Holloway’s invitation from UFC 300 to Justin Gaethje—before the two engaged in a 10-second exchange of power shots.
The sparring comes as Pereira prepares to face Ciryl Gane in the co-main event of UFC Freedom 250 on June 14, 2026. With a victory over Gane, Pereira would capture the Interim UFC Heavyweight Championship, making him the first fighter in UFC history to win titles in three different weight classes (Middleweight, Light Heavyweight, and Heavyweight). While they were once rivals—with Pereira knocking Strickland out at UFC 276—the two are now on good terms.
