Peterson, Lipinets Make Weight For Upcoming Fight
Former world champions Lamont Peterson and Sergey Lipinets are at a crossroads when it comes to their careers.
Both men lost world title fights within the last 14 months and both are looking to get into the welterweight title mix when the two of them meet on a PBC card on March 24. The two fighters are set to headline in a welterweight showdown where the winner can move one step closer towards challenging for a title in one of boxing’s top divisions.
Before the two step into the ring, they each took to the scales for the official weigh-ins and both weighed in within the 147-pound limit. Lipinets managed to tip the scales at 147 pounds while Peterson was comfortably more than a pound under the limit.
