Pettis Ready For McGregor “Dream Fight”

Following his knockout of Stephen Thompson, Anthony Pettis feels it is time for him and Conor McGregor to face off.

The former EFC and UFC lightweight champion feels it would be a bad time for McGregor if he came out of retirement to face him.

“Man, I wouldn’t talk him outta retirement,” Pettis told TMZ. “If someone wants to retire, don’t get in the Octagon with me. It’s gonna be a bad one. I’m too hungry right now. I’m too motivated. I just knocked out the No. 3 in the world at 170 pounds. If you’re trying to retire, don’t entertain a fight with me.”

With his win over Thompson at UFC Fight Night Nashville, Pettis joined McGregor and Kenny Florian, as the only fighters to win at featherweight, lightweight, and welterweight in the UFC.

As both men are now in that exclusive club, Pettis feels that a fight like this would be a dream for fans.

“I think it’s a dream fight for the fans. … I go for the kill. He goes for the kill. We both have a flashy striking style with a great ground game.
