PFL 4 Results: Palmer Submits Tuerxun

PFL 4 took place on Thursday, July 19, from NYCB Live at the Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, New York, the first of two consecutive events on the PFL schedule to take place at the Nassau Coliseum.

In the main event, former WSOF champion Lance Palmer dominated Jumabieke Tuerxun en route to a third-round submission win.

After a better start on the feet from Palmer, Tuerxun attempted a takedown, which resulted in a struggle for control in grappling and clinching. Palmer got behind Tuerxun and attempted to gain at choke, but at least managed to get into top position on the ground. Palmer rained down some heavy shots for the remainder of round one.

Palmer got back to work right away in round two, taking Tuerxun’s back and slowly bringing him to the ground and getting back into top game, where he stayed for all of the round. Finally, in the third, Palmer got the fight back to the ground after a couple of minutes, where he dominated once again. In fact, Palmer got in 77 strikes on the ground, while Tuerxun threw none.

Finally, Palmer got in a choke in the last seconds of the fight remaining, securing a late submission win.

In the co-main event, former WSOF champion and unbeaten hometown hero Andre Harrison dominated Nazareno Malegarie, scoring a unanimous decision victory. All three judges scored the contest 30-27. Harrison, now 19-0 in his career, clinches a spot in the featherweight division playoffs.
